Sonoma County Vacation

Posted by olemike on 06/04/2011

Well, it really wasn’t a vacation per se.  We were really baby sitting my youngest son’s two girls but it seemed like a vacation.  We viewed the Pacific from Bodega Head,

walked the beach at Salmon Creek Beach,

ate a great brunch at the Tides Restaurant in Bodega Bay, and then spent the 2nd day in the great little town of Sonoma.  We took the kids to ride the train at Train Town,

bought lunch at the Cheese Factory, had a picnic in the park, fed the ducks, and then topped off the day (and the trip) with ice cream at the Chocolate Cow.  It was a great February day – Oops, this was early June.  Well, it just seemed like February.  It was cloudy and threatened rain most of the two days.  We still had a great time.

For you out-of-towners, I can recommend a great place to stay.  Check out Tre Sorelle Cottage.  Enjoy!

How blessed are the girls to have grandparents like you. How blessed are you to have wonderful grandchildren. A “win-win” for all of you. Love, Grandma Wanda
